My hobbies

My hobbies outline the different aspects of nature and provide a method to experience them in as many dimensions as possible.

During the shortest days, snowboarding opens up a new realm of possibility. With a (very brief) stint competing that landed me at #146 in North America - which is impressive enough to mention but not enough to brag about. Mostly, it’s when I get to draw Euler’s spirals into the snow.

When the snow melts, I turn to hiking and climbing. Hiking is what I grew up doing with my family, and is still the simplest way to see something new. If the weather allowed, I would keep hiking endlessly, as Newton knows “an object in motion will stay in motion”. Climbing on the other hand, is new to me, but the possibilities are endless now that the z-axis of nature is accessible.
